Joint Statement of Sarayaku and Scientists

This joint declaration from Original Peoples holding ancestral knowledge and Scientists, recognises the natural world is intelligent and conscious. They declare that Nature has inherent rights to exist, to have places to thrive, and to participate in ongoing Earth processes. The declaration reaches beyond conservation. It is a call for a transformative global shift in values and behaviour concerning the natural environment.
